VOTE (election) Poster

For this election poster, the design concept that I had was to keep it simple and effective. I kept it simple by not having that much pictures and using words. The only images I used were the Ontario flag and the province of Ontario. Then I put the province and the flag together to make the province look like the flag it self. I chose a blueish colour for the background to resemble water. I also used a check mark symbol to make it look like the words(Your Province, Your future,Your vote and Student Vote 2014) were being checked off. I got inspiration for designing my poster from the examples of the simple posters that were in the classroom wall. I liked the idea of of the simple poster because even though it was simple it still conveys the message of voting.

Macro Photography

Before
After

"The Mane"-Shape
I took a picture of a dandelion because the dandelion's pedals look like the mane of a male lion. I cropped the image so that the dandelion would not be in the middle. The design concept it illustrates is rule of thirds because the dandelion is on the left side of the picture. I also enhanced the colour and used auto smart fix. The focal point of this picture is the pure colour of the dandelion which is to he left. I chose shape for the Elements of design because it looks like a lions mane.

"Fluff Ball"-Texture
I took a picture of a dandelion that was at the stage of reseeding. I took a picture of this dandelion because the white fluffy stems of the seeds look like fur. I cropped the image so that the dandelion would be at the left of the picture. I also enhanced the colour and auto fixed it as well, I wanted the focal point to be the middle of the dandelion where all of the seeds are. I chose texture for the Elements of design because the dandelion had good texture with the seeds.

 "The Micro Flower"-Balance
I took a picture of a small flower because it was very interesting, also it was unique by being small. I cropped the picture so I could get an even closer image of it. I also enhanced the image with enhance colour, I used auto fix as well. I used the contrast and brightening tool to give some contrast to the flower. I also used the clone stamp tool to stamp out some holes in the flower. I wanted my focal point to be the in side of the flower. I chose balance for the Elements of design because the colours balance each other.

Photo Restoration

Before
After

For my photo restoration project, I used option three. When I first started restoring this picture, I converted this photo into black and white. Then I switched to the clone stamp tool and I used that tool for all of my restoration project. First, I started to clone stamp the big gash, from the left side of the photo and through the baby's face to the right. While I was doing that, I also started to clone stamp some little areas that needed to be restored like a bit of one of the eyes and some dark spots through out the photo, also some other little cracks. I also restored some if not all of the background (behind the baby and the blanket). I am fully satisfied with my photo restoration. I am fully satisfied with my my restoration because it looks nice, it's more of a clear image.

My Composite Painting

Title of painting: " The Flying Sharks"My concept for this composite image is a planet in really deep space inhabited by sharks. These sharks however, are not normal sharks. These sharks are flying sharks. On their home planet, these sharks can swim in the water like normal sharks, but they can also breach and then be air born if they want. For my techniques, I used two non copyrighted images: water over the horizon picture and a space picture. To make my setting I used those two pictures and I used the space painting and overlaid it on to the sky picture to make the sky in the water picture turn to space. Then, I got some non copyrighted shark images and I used the magic wand tool to take away their original background and just have the sharks. After that, I uses the free transform tool to size the sharks, and then I placed them. Then, I got a non copyrighted image of shark fins and put them in the water, to make it look like there are more sharks on this planet. I also used a cracked cement texture to make the image look like it was painted on cement.
