My first digital painting site is called "Comets". I called this painting "Comets" because my concept was to create the feel of comets hitting the Earth. My design features for this pictures for this painting is that I smeared it all together(Sumo Paint) and that I used a grain filter, to make it look like stippling art(Photoshop).

My second digital painting is called " The Great Owl". I called this painting "The Great Owl" because my concept was to paint over a non copyrighted image of an owl . My design features for this picture that I used a feather paintbrush to create the grey feathers(Sumo Paint), and I used a water paper filter to sort of make it look like it was part of a piece of cloth or clothing(Photoshop).
My third digital painting is called "The Powerful Geinie Awakens". I called this painting "The Powerful Geinie Awakens" because my concept was just for fun and I wanted to see were this painting that I drew on Pencil Madness. While I was first starting to draw this painting, I started to think about the book "One Thousand And One Nights" book. Then I started painting a picture that depicts a story in the book, "Ali Baba And The Forty Thieves". My design features was using a drawing tool that look like smoke/hair for the outline of the smoke cloud and Ali Baba's hair.

Marcello, you misunderstood the requirements for the reflection. Design features refers to artistic decisions. You could say something like...."For my owl I used a background gradient in the same colour family as the howl to create a slightly monochromatic effect. The eyes are bright yellow to serve as a focal point and I used brush strokes to create a sense of the feather texture." The rubric specifically said not to bother explaining technical processes this time, such as filters. I think the filter on the first image actually takes away from the impact because it unifies the surface and thus everything is muted. I like your final submission. It is quite unique. The drawing has a very child-like feel to it which works well with the subject matter. Thanks for suggesting the use of "Pencil Madness" . Lots of your classmates enjoyed that program and it's helpful to have something people can use at home.
